2018 Dolcetto, Columbia Valley

Dolcetto translates to "little sweet one" in Italian, which is very fitting for this wine.  Though not a sweet wine, it is an endearing wine.  Notes of violets, cocoa, blackberry and a bit of tobacco are found on the nose.  The palate offers high acidity, soft tannins and a long finish.  This wine really wants to be served with a meal.  Try it with a nice, rich Ragu to bring out a sweetness or a Pistachio crusted, mild white fish to bring out a nuttiness.
