44.5% Grenache, 44.5% Syrah, 11% Mourvedre
Upland Estates Vineyards, Snipes Mountain
Platinum - 2017 Wine Press Northwest Platinum Judging
Gold - 2017 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition
The Scion is the newest release on the Newhouse Family Vineyard label. It was created for the second generation Newhouse brother’s that took over operations on Snipes Mountain after Al retired from farming. Luscious, but bright fruits on the nose. Clear, deep garnet color. Flavors of baked fruit pie and cassis. This light bodied, fruit forward blend lingers on the back palate with more residual flavor than is expected from such a young wine.
